Enhance Your Blogs with Public Domain Works

This can be a real challenge, especially if you have several blogs that you need to keep up with. And even though you will need to edit your public domain content in order to make it your own and to make it relevant to your blog, you will still save a lot of time and you will probably come up with some topics you had not previously thought of.
Timeless Topics
Look for public domain material on topics that stand the test of time. Sure, there will be the need to update the content but you will still have a head start by starting with the free material you can cull from the public domain. Think about topics that were popular decades ago that are still popular today. Things like finance, health, jobs, relationships, you get the idea. The truth is that the people who wrote the content that is available in the public domain had many of the same issues and problems we face today and many books and articles were written to address those issues.
Use Free Photos and Images on Your Blog
Don’t forget the power of pictures and images when you are optimizing your blog. Don’t make the mistake of assuming, though, that every free image database contains public domain images and pictures because there may be a huge difference. Images in the public domain are not only free for you to use, but they are free in the sense that you can edit them and do whatever you like with them. That is quite a difference from image databases that let you use an image exactly the way it is providing you give credit to the author of the image. That means that you can’t edit it and there may be specific terms and conditions you must abide by in order to use it at all. On the other hand, there is no one to answer to when you use public domain images and photographs.
Public Domain and AdSense
At first thought, you might think that the writings of so many years ago would have no relevance to the tons of ads on the Internet today but you would be wrong. Creating a blog around a niche subject that you find public domain information on with the idea of earning revenue from clicks is a cost effective way to use your Internet marketing skills. That doesn’t mean you’ll get right overnight but neither will you get rich overnight if you write all your own content and create your own images to put on your blog.
Remember, you are going to be updating the public domain content you put on your blog so by the time it actually appears on your blog, there will be plenty of relevant ads to appear alongside it. Once you find the public domain content you want to use, be sure and do a keyword search so that you can optimize the content with the most relevant keywords. Yes, you’ll still do some writing but you will have an edge by starting with an entire book on your niche subject. For example, there are gardening websites that have made beautiful use of public domain images and tweaked content that was found in decades old gardening books to make it new and fresh. You can do the same thing whether your blog is about gardening or a host of different subjects.
